The New Zealand Community for Christian Meditation has enriched the spiritual and personal lives of so many people, yours included we hope, but our work comes with certain costs attached. Examples include organising community days, retreats, publishing newsletters, hosting a website, running introductory courses, introducing meditation in the Christian tradition to schools and supporting people who take the practice into prisons, hospitals and retirement homes.
You can help this important work by becoming a member of NZCCM. This costs just $25 a year and any additional donation of $5 or more is tax deductible. You can pay in one of three ways including by credit card via the NZCCM website. Link here to find out more.
People are registering for the John Main Seminar which is being hosted at Waikato University in January next year. Take advantage of the early bird fee by booking now. Link here to find out more. The organising team requires the services of someone who can do research on the internet then turn that into material for the seminar website. It is easily found material and will be used on the website to provide information to people attending the event, especially those coming from overseas. The task is unlikely to take more than a few hours. If you can help please contact NZCCM national coordinator Vincent Maire on 09 424-2293 or via the NZCCM contact page.
And did you know that over the past six years the number of meditation groups around the world has increased by 45% to 2,381 in 2013? If you would like to increase the number of groups in your area by hosting an introduction course please let us know via the NZCCM website contact page.
