This community day will be held in the Guesthouse lounge of Kopua Monastery, which is located at 533 Kopua Road, which is off the main highway between Takapau and Norsewood. If you are coming please let your meditation group leader know, or if you are not part of a group let me (Malcolm Byford) know. My email address is bmbyford@xtra.co.nz. Nick’s meditation is Meditation, St Benedict and the Oblates”.
Some meditators are Oblates. Where do oblates fit into the world community for Christian meditation? On this community day we will discuss the origins of monasticism, St Benedict and his Rule, how oblates relate to monks, how oblates fit into to the WCCM and how meditation relates to the oblate life. To bring this to life we will look at a group of images showing various monks and monasteries and reflect together on some passages from the Rule.
